1. Who are your primary influences? I've been influenced by lots of styles, including Tim Burton's, the art of Camille Rose Garcia and Liz McGrath, rockabilly culture, Dia de los Muertos festivals, tattoos, and crafters who make things at home. I also find inspriation from each of my 5 siblings and my folks, big time.

2. Do you do custom work? Yes, I do portraits, photograph weddings and parties, will do personalized artwork including books, mixed media, etc. Just email me with your ideas and a price quote.

3. Has anyone been offended by your exhibit, So-Called Saints? Unfortunately, yes. It was not my intention to offend those who are Christians and/or Mormons, although it may seem that my statement is hurtful. It's difficult for me to express myself while I have friends and family who are strong members of the Church. I have many fond memories from being raised Mormon, and have few regrets. I respect the fact that they have their beliefs and appreciate the fact that they respect my non-beliefs. The bottom line is that I feel the need to express myself through 25+ years of being L.D.S. and hope that others can see things from a differing perspective. Watch for the book, too.

5. What advice can you give a beginning artist? It sounds elemental, but start at the beginning. You have to learn the rules in order to break them. Don't skip ahead and don't forget that the more you sketch, the more ideas come up. Keep going, no matter what gets in your way, because you have a voice that needs to be heard.
